The cheeks tend to lose volume with resultant flattening and a tendency to droop as we age. Replacing volume in the cheeks is important for many individuals to rejuvenate the face and give a more youthful appearance. Treatment of the cheeks can also help lift the entire face and reduce the folds between the nose and the mouth (the so called nasolabial folds).

Whilst cheek enhancement can be performed surgically by inserting permanent implants it can also be achieved non-surgically by the use of injectable dermal fillers.
