Information on tattoo removal
What is the MEDLITE?
The MEDLITE laser is a Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser.
What is the MEDLITE used for?
The MEDLITE laser is mainly used for ;
- Tattoo Removal For more information see Tattoo Removal Men/Women
- Pigmentation For more information see Pigmentation
It does also have approval for the treatment of acne and for photorejuvenation as well as laser assisted hair removal
How does the MEDLITE work?
The MEDLITE laser delivers pulses of laser energy that can shatter pigment beneath the surface of the skin (photoacoustic effect). The MEDLITE laser creates very short duration laser pulses (in the nanosecond range) by the use of Q-SWITCH technology. These very short duration laser pulses, can be very effective in shattering pigment in the epidermis and the dermis of the skin, but with the advantage a shorter duration of the laser exposure results in significantly less damage to the surface of the skin and hence a much reduced rate of scarring compared to earlier pigment and tattoo removal laser systems.
Why choose the MEDLITE?
The MEDLITE laser system has the huge advantage of providing the option of 4 different wavelengths of laser light, namely 1064nm, 532nm, 650nm and 585nm. This is particularly important for tattoo removal as different colours of tattoo ink require different wavelengths of laser light for the best result.
