- Facial Ageing : Brow Droop
Facial ageing and Brow droop
The effects of ageing lead to a fall of the eyebrows and forehead. This is due to the combined effects of gravity and the skin`s loss of elasticity.
Your eyes may appear smaller leading to a tired, older appearance.
Patients are sensibly opting for non-surgical treatments:
- Wrinkle injections. There are muscles that elevate or lift the brow and muscles that pull it down or depress it. Injecting the muscle that depresses the brow will result in a nice subtle brow elevation. Often the frown (glabellar) and forehead lines will be injected at the same time to give a balanced effect. For more information see Brow Lift
- Dermal fillers can be injected just under the brow to lift the skin in this area. For more information see Dermal Fillers
- Laser technology can be used to give a more generalised improvement in skin tone and texture around the eyes. For more information see Photorejuvenation
